The event took the form of a roundtable discussion, focusing on one of the most pressing issues in contemporary legal practice: how businesses can protect themselves amid growing risks of asset seizure. The speakers were KKMP partners Dmitry Raev and Valerian Mamageishvili.
The discussion focused on the following issues:
possible grounds for “deprivatization” claims;
ways to minimize risks;
what to do if assets are already at risk.
The discussion turned out to be very interesting and informative. Students not only learned about current trends in the field of de-privatization and real-life cases, but also participated in a brainstorming session, proposing and analyzing strategies to protect clients’ interests.
