The State Duma Adopts the Procedure for Taxation of Digital Currency Transactions
On November 26, Bill No. 1065710-7 on Amendments to Parts One and Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation was adopted in the second and third readings by the State Duma. The Bill sets forth the procedure for taxation of digital currency transactions.

The bill was introduced to the State Duma back in late 2020 and was adopted in the first reading in February 2021, however, there was no progress with the Bill for a long time, and it was adopted only now in connection with the legalization of mining and launch of a pilot legal regime for transactions with digital currency.
