BRICS on the Agenda.

On October 22-24, Kazan hosted the XVI BRICS Summit, which became the central event of the Russian presidency in the association in 2024.

The Russian presidency focused on the following areas:

  • Development of legal status of the BRICS partner countries;

  • Co-operation in cross-border payments and interbank cooperation;

  • Greater use of national currencies in trade among BRICS countries;

  • Creation of a unified BRICS settlement, insurance and depository infrastructure;

  • Closer co-operation in agriculture and on food security issues.

 

Our attention is closely focused on BRICS, together with our colleagues from Kesarev, we announce a joint business breakfast where we will:

 

  • Summarize the results of the Russian presidency;

  • Discuss the expectations from the group in 2025, when Brazil will take over the presidency;

     

  • Explain how BRICS and its institutions can be useful for doing business.
