LegalTech: introduction of new technologies into legal practice
Yesterday, a meeting with students of the Right to Ideas community was held at the KKMP office, dedicated to topical issues of introduction of new technologies into legal practice.

KKMP Partner Anna Maksimenko and KKMP.Tech IT Director Sergey Polyanin presented their vision of how innovations are changing the face of the legal profession. The panelists discussed IT industry trends, key aspects of effective use of artificial intelligence for the development of the legal profession, as well as the necessary knowledge and skills for a successful career in the new realities.

The participants agreed that despite the emergence of new AI-related professions, artificial intelligence will not be able to replace lawyers. On the contrary, over time, there will be a growing need for specialists with an expanded set of skills.

Especially important today are:

  • Systematizing information

  • Understanding of business processes

  • Knowledge of company products

  • Prompting skills

  • Ability to work with AI tools

  • Understanding of Legal Ops tasks

While fundamental knowledge and skills such as:

  • Knowledge of law

  • Written communication skills

  • Analytical skills

will remain essential and will require continuous development.
