Seminar "Relevant Issues of Damages for Breach of Representations"
On March 27, KKMP and Veta Expert Group held a joint seminar "Relevant Issues of Damages for Breach of Representations".

KKMP Senior Partner Alyona Kucher and Senior Associates Andrey Lipin, Valerian Mamageishvili and Alexey Khnalkov addressed the following legal issues:

  • the nature of liability for misrepresentation;

  • composition of damages caused by misrepresentation;

  • relation between recovery of damages and other remedies in case of misrepresentation; and

  • parties knowledge and other limitations on the recovery of damages in case of misrepresentation.

Veta Managing Partner Ilya Zharskiy and Partner and Technical Director Aleksandr Terentev addressed appraisal issues of calculation of losses relating to misrepresentation, including:

  • calculation of different types of losses;

  • determining business market value;

  • current approaches to business valuation; and

  • related case studies.
