Seminar: Protecting Intellectual Property in China: A Navigator for Russian Investors
On March 13th, a seminar on Protecting Intellectual Property in China: A Navigator for Russian Investors was held at KKMP office.

Wallace Li, Partner at Dacheng Law Offices, one of China's leading lawyers specializing in a wide range of intellectual property protection issues in China, invited as a guest speaker delivered his presentation, while the discussion was moderated by KKMP Partner Anna Maximenko.

The seminar covered issues of whether entering the Chinese market requires due diligence of IP assets, intellectual property protection strategies, and actions to be taken in the event of infringement.

Participants were particularly interested to hear about the court practice on criminal liability for patent infringement and the specifics of trademark registration. The process of determining whether intellectual property infringement involves intent and the possibility of using a procedure similar to the US discovery to identify willful infringement were also discussed.
