Workshop: “Current Issues in the Regulation of Foreign Investment in Strategic Companies”
On March 8, 2026, the President of the Russian Federation signed Federal Law No. 51-FZ amending Federal Law No. 57-FZ “On the Procedure for Foreign Investment in Business Entities of Strategic Importance for National Defense and State Security.”

Please find attached our Overview of Changes. We invite you to join us on April 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. for a seminar where, together with Olesya Vladimirovna Milchakova, Head of the Foreign Investment Control Department at the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, we will discuss:

  • New approaches to regulating foreign investment in strategic companies.

  • The FAS Russia’s practice regarding the definition of a foreign investor and the establishment of control over strategic companies.
