Outcomes of the Meeting Between the Presidents of Russia and Oman, and the Conditions for Foreign Investment in Oman
Due to increasing sanctions pressure and Russia’s reorientation towards eastern markets, Oman, thanks to its policy of neutrality, is becoming an increasingly promising destination for establishing companies and conducting business.

In April 2025, a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Oman took place in Moscow, resulting in the signing of several documents aimed at expanding cooperation between the two states. We present a review prepared by our colleagues from the Oman office of Global Advocacy and Legal Counsel, outlining the outcomes of the meeting between the heads of state, as well as the conditions for foreign investment in Oman (including the procedures for establishing companies, special/free economic zones, restrictions, and support measures for foreign investors).
