On October 30, KKMP Senior Associate Elena Klutchareva spoke at the first Russian specialized conference on application of DFAs in construction and development industry "DFA in Construction and Real Estate: New Opportunities for Developers and Investors".

Elena highlighted the opportunities that are open for developers, property owners and investors through real estate tokenization, explained why direct tokenization is currently impossible in Russia and offered several schemes of indirect tokenization of real estate, both market-tested and potential.

In conclusion, Elena described the main risks and challenges faced by tokenization projects, including the risk of project failure and inaccessibility of tokens backed by real estate for unqualified investors.
