Today the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted an academic legal conference, Civil Law: Current Problems related to the Present Stage of Development, timed to coincide with the release of a new compilation of articles, Civil Law Relations: Problems of Doctrine, Legislation and Judicial Practice, to mark the 75th birthday of Professor Evgeny Sukhanov LLD.

KKMP Managing Partner Alyona Kucher spoke at the conference on the legal nature of representations of circumstances (i.e. circumstances related to the entry into, performance of or termination of an agreement, a concept introduced in Article 431.2 of the Civil Code).

Alyona Kucher, jointly with KKMP Associate Andrey Lipin, has also written an article for the collection, entitled Recovery of Losses Caused by a Counterparty's Provision of Incorrect Representations and Warranties under English Law, and Incorrect Representations of Circumstances under Russian Law.
