Elena Tchoubykina heads KKMP's finance practice. She advises Russian and foreign financial
institutions and Russian borrowers on a wide range of secured and unsecured financing
transactions (including structured finance, acquisition finance, pre-export finance and general
lending), as well as on restructuring, debt settlement and liquidation projects for insolvent
debtors. Elena has also advised Russian issuers on Eurobond offerings (on both an issue-by-
issue and a program-by-program basis).
She has been repeatedly recognized as one of the leading financial lawyers in Russia by
Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Best Lawyers and Pravo-300.
Prior to joining the KKMP team, Elena worked in the finance practices of leading international
law firms. She graduated with honors from the Moscow State University Law School in 1999,
completed the Common Professional Exam Course at the Birmingham College of Law in 2002
and the Legal Practice Course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, and qualified as a
Solicitor in England and Wales in 2004.
Elena is fluent in English.
