Denis Ivanov

Denis Ivanov heads the capital markets practice. He has implemented numerous unique, large-scale, and award-winning projects. These include Russia's first securitization, subordinated loan, and mortgage-backed securities issuance; the world's first transfer of the depositary receipt program of Russia's largest issuer from the US to an independent infrastructure; and the public offering of shares in Sberbank ($5.2 billion), VTB ($3.3 billion), and others. Denis has also implemented a significant number of projects abroad, including the first listing of a Kazakh company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (MM Petroleum), a number of mergers and acquisitions, and portfolio investments.
Before joining KKMP, Denis worked for more than 25 years with major international law firms (Clifford Chance, Cleary Gottlieb, Latham & Watkins) and in private practice. In 2002, he graduated from the Law Faculty of MGIMO University, and in 2009, he received his PhD in Law.
Denis is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
