Focuses his practice on corporate law and transaction work. In particular, he has extensive experience advising on M&A transactions and structuring joint ventures under Russian, English, and Hong Kong law.
Prior to joining KKMP, Valerian worked at leading international and Russian law firms.
Valerian obtained a Bachelor's degree with honors (2015) and a Master's degree with honors ("Corporate Law", 2017) from the Moscow State University Law School. In 2014, he studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Helsinki under the ERASMUS program.
In 2021, Valerian defended his PhD thesis at the Moscow State University on the topic "Representation of interests of business corporations".
He currently teaches as a visiting expert in the Corporate Law master’s program at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Since 2022, Since 2022, Valerian has been an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
Previously, he taught private law courses at the Law Faculty of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, as well as at the Higher School of State Audit at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
