Moscow is currently hosting the “Russia – Africa” Summit. The event features participation from 48 African nations, with 22 represented at the head-of-state level.Russia and its African partners are entering a new phase in interstate relations. Key priorities include deepening political and economic ties, expanding trade and investment flows, and fostering cooperation across energy, mining, agriculture, education, technology, and tourism.
Ahead of the summit, on October 27, KKMP and Kesarev hosted a private business breakfast titled “Russia – Africa.” The session convened key representatives from the official delegations of Ghana and Liberia, alongside senior executives from major Russian and African corporations.
The discussion was moderated by Anna Maksimenko, Partner at KKMP, and Natasha Sheiko, Partner at Kesarev.
“We engaged in an open and constructive dialogue on high-potential business opportunities across Russia and the African continent. We discussed practical tools and solutions to help companies navigate regulatory barriers and execute their strategic plans.
African markets present substantial growth opportunities for investors; however, market entry requires rigorous due diligence. Project success hinges on a comprehensive understanding of local logistics and energy infrastructure, the regulatory landscape, and workforce dynamics. These critical factors should be proactively addressed during project structuring and partner selection,” noted Anna Maksimenko.
We extend our gratitude to our colleagues at Kesarev and all participants for their valuable contributions to strengthening business connectivity between Russia and Africa.
