KKMP has advised Kazakhmys Group on USD 1.5 billion prepayment financing  - Изображение

KKMP team has advised Kazakhmys Group — the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan and one of the global leaders in the copper industry — on up to USD 1.5 billion prepayment financing from Mercuria Energy Trading SA, a leading international commodity trader.

The financing is structured as a prepayment for the supply of copper cathodes through 2033. KKMP team provided comprehensive legal support, including the negotiation of a long-term offtake contract and the formation of a complex security package.

The team advising on the project was led by partner Denis Ivanov, with key support from counsels Vadim Nikitin and Andrey Lipin, associate Alexey Nedospasov and legal assistant Ivan Nabotov.
