On March 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the Faculty of Law at Moscow State University will host a lecture titled “EU Sanctions,” in collaboration with the law firm KKM.

The session will be led by Elvira Khasanova, Senior Lawyer at KKMP, and a member of ACSS (The Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists).

EU sanctions are currently the most comprehensive of all sanctions regimes. During the lecture, we will discuss:

  • the procedure for adopting EU sanctions, the main sources and types of sanctions,

  • the definition of sanctioned persons in the EU, the application of ownership and control criteria,

  • challenging EU sanctions and “sanctions” case law,

  • general and special licenses in the EU.
